INVASION X
--Short Description
This is a arcade smup created using Pico-8. This smup includes a boss 10 levels and a few unique and different mechanics to set it apart from the rest.

--Mechanics
Overheat - The overheat meter is something to promote not just holding down the fire button. Should you reach 300 on the overheat meter then you will be unable to move shoot or shrink for a short time.
Shrink - This is a function created to aid in the players dodging along with a solution to the overheat penalty. While shrunken the player has a smaller hitbox and recovers from overheat more quickly
Pick-ups - My game has to pick up items one being a heal the other being a blue flame that causes you to enter a power-up state.
Power-Up - This is a state activated upon picking up a blue flame causing the player to change colors, gain a spread fire and immunity to the overheat penalty.
Destructible Bullets - This sump has 2 different type of bullets that enemies use that being destructible and indestructible. destructible bullets are grey and flash blue while indestructible bullets are yellow with flashes of red. Destructible bullets collide with the players bullets destroying themselves and the player bullets with indestructible not being able to collide with the player bullets.
Boss - Focus on the main body that's all you get.
